Morris Group, Inc., one of the largest machine tool distribution networks in North America, is seeking an ambitious and diligent Parts Coordinator for our Scott, LA location. We are looking for an experienced individual who has demonstrated success in the day-to-day operations of warehouse facilities and managing the parts. This role will provide the right individual with opportunities to work for a great company in a fast-paced, growing industry.
What You Will Contribute:
The Parts Coordinator will play a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and shipment of a wide range of goods. This position requires a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with peers and other departments to support overall company objectives.
Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate inventory records, including stock levels, locations, and product descriptions.
- Conduct regular inventory audits to reconcile physical stock with system records.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the Warehouse Supervisor to replenish the inventory as needed.
Order Processing:
- Process incoming orders accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring all relevant documentation is completed.
- Ensure efficient and timely shipment of orders.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues related to order fulfillment.
Warehouse Coordination:
- Ensure the daily activities of the warehouse and all operations are carried out efficiently and safely.
- Collaborate with the Warehouse Supervisor to optimize storage space and improve the warehouse layout for efficiency.
- Ensure all warehouse equipment is properly maintained, operated safely, and report any issues to the appropriate department.
Data Entry and Reporting:
- Enter and update data into the company’s warehouse management system.
- Generate reports on inventory levels, order status, and other key metrics as required.
- Provide regular updates to the Warehouse Supervisor on warehouse performance.
Other Functions:
- Perform related duties as required.

Job Proficiencies & Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in warehouse management, logistics, or a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in a warehouse or logistics role, preferably in an administrative capacity.
- Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with warehouse management software.
- Experience in Salesforce is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to warehouse operations.
- Forklift certification is a plus.
